The purpose of our project was to increase the level of inclusion of children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. The proposed objectives were: development of competences for the use of creative methods and techniques of inclusive education for 5 teachers for the inclusion of children coming from disadvantaged backgrounds; development of digital competences of 5 teachers for the use of platforms specific to early education; increase of the motivation and involvement of the teachers in carrying out activities for the inclusion of children with adaptation problems, by using games adapted to early education.
GPP no. 2 in Pascani is made of 4 institutions where there are enrolled 350 children, aged 3 to 6 years old. The children come from related neighbors, and also from other areas of the town. At the level of our unit, over 12 children who face adaptation and relationship problems were identified. Over 40% or our children come from families with a modest economic background or from vulnerable environments. For this reason, our teachers must have at hand techniques and strategies which they may use in order to facilitate the adaptation and inclusion of the children in the kindergarten classes. There were identified training needs for teachers through courses with topics related to inclusion, development of digital competences, the need to motivate the children through the use of non-formal education methods, or activities where games can be integrated. Starting these need we set up an activities plan which comprised three structural courses for a number of 15 participants, who by attending the mobility activities and after disseminating and transfer of learning outcomes led to the fulfillment of the main purpose of our project and that is the inclusion of all children in the mainstream education.
