Through this project, we have managed to increase the awareness, potential and passion of future graduates for this field so that employment or continuing studies in the same field is a serious option because the labor market in Timisoara is quite good in this sense. I also noticed this following the feedback received from the students. The second aspect that improved was the involvement of the students in the learning process, by increasing the motivation that appears following this opportunity offered by the internship in a reputable company. In this sense, one of the selection criteria was represented by the average from the technological modules in the previous year. At the same time, participating in a 3-week practical training internship in another country also increases the ability to communicate in a foreign language (English) or the knowledge in the field of chiminea will improve and will be used in the following years study.
This project was initiated as a result of the feedback received from the students participating in another practical training course at the same company in 2019. At that time, our high school was part of a consortium together with several other high schools in Timis County. The project was submitted in 2021 with the support of the high school management, from which I had all the support in the drafting and subsequent implementation process. The key persons in the smooth development of the project were: Mrs. Mot Camelia, who was the director at the time of the submission of the project and remained in the implementation team, Ticula Adrian, project manager and Mrs. Carmen Suciu, human resources manager at the Heraeus company (branch from Timisoara). At the same time, we consider that the partial move of the practical training internship to Germany was beneficial because the students learn better skills because our institution does not have modern equipment so that the practical training internship is relevant for future graduates.
