The objectives of the project were: O1 - The development of professional skills for a number of 22 students from the automotive mechanics and electrical specializations through an internship in a company from the European Union. The European internship in the services of the partner European institution increased the motivation and personal prestige of the students. O2 - Optimizing the way of organizing theoretical and practical training for automotive mechanics and electrical specializations by adopting some good practice models from vocational schools in Europe. Through the observation mission, new ways of making the management of the educational process more efficient were identified through the implementation of models adapted to the Romanian educational and legislative context but aligned with European standards. O3- Development of teaching skills in the technical field by using technology in the classroom for a number of 2 teachers. We wanted to increase the attractiveness of classes and reduce absenteeism.
The SWOT analysis carried out within the school identified a series of weak points relevant to the needs of our project: the unattractiveness of the course hours, the theoretical preparation with an emphasis on traditional methods, the poor equipment of the laboratories, the deficient practical internships as a result of the distrust shown by the economic partners to involve the students in practical activities relevant to the specializations. Hence the low interest of the students manifested in a large number of absenteeism. In the online survey conducted by the same CEAC commission in February 2021, 78 of the 92 respondents supported the use of technology in the teaching process to make classes more attractive. We want to increase interest in personal and professional development through this project. We want to make the specialized training process more efficient by implementing examples of good practice from European schools with a technical profile.
