West University of Timisoara is a comprehensive higher education institution, with approximately 15000 students and 11 faculties. WUT has an institutional strategy on internationalisation, as an essential dimension of the Rector's managerial plan, which includes a constant and sustainable increase in the number of Erasmus+ mobilities, following the same rhythm from the past years, while also providing quality assurance in the implementation of the Erasmus+ Programme regarding the quality of the mobilities, their impact and academic results, and the quality of the services offered by WUT to all Erasmus+ beneficiaries. Considering that WUT is part of the UNITA European University Alliance starting with 2020, mobilities towards the partner universities within the Alliance were encouraged. The results of the strategy were extremely good, as we followed the principle of equity in performance, primarily supporting students with good academic results and teaching staff who applied for the first time for an individual mobility. In this way, we managed to offer the environment for authentic and realistic internationalization in WUT, similar to higher education institutions in Europe.
