Objectives

The aim of the project was to increase the level of social and intercultural skills, to raise awareness of the need for intercultural dialogue in the current European context by sharing customs, traditions, knowledge and national values, for 36 young people and 6 group leaders from the 6 participating countries to stop activities that can lead to discrimination and social exclusion. Thus, the YE goal was achieved through the following OS: OS1: Increasing the degree of awareness of 42 young people from 6 different countries on the impact and negative effect of discrimination, stereotypes and prejudices in the current European context, by using non-formal education methods (creative workshop, role play, public cafe, brainstorming, etc.), during 9 days of youth exchange. OS2: The acquisition and development of new key competences through cultural exchange, inclusion and diversity (by making handicraft items with national/traditional specificity through the Origami technique) based on non-formal non-discriminatory activities (world-cafe, creative workshops, promotion, training and participation in the local exhibition CULTURE fair), for the 42 young people during the implementation period of the project. OS3: The social integration of 12 young people with fewer opportunities through non-formal education methods and intercultural dialogue, during the 15 months of the project. By getting involved in the project, they will feel socially integrated, they will gain confidence in themselves, they will acquire key competences that will help them in the future both personally and professionally. OS4: Promoting the feeling of solidarity and tolerance among young people P, through intercultural exchange, by promoting inclusion and diversity, to facilitate social cohesion at the EU level during the implementation period of the project. Thr Youth exchange "Nice to meet you!" has aimed, throughout its duration, to achieve the specific objectives (OS) initially assumed in accordance with the E+ objectives, namely: - the development and recognition of the key competences/learning outcomes of young people, (OS1, OS2, OS3) - by granting Youthpass certificates - leads to the achievement of the objectives of the national call; - promoting intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, solidarity and diversity (OS3, OS4) - leads to the achievement of the European priority in the national context (inclusion and diversity), but also to the achievement of the objective of the national appeal (encouraging the participation of people with fewer opportunities); - encouraging the improvement of the quality of mobilities in the field of youth, by strengthening the cooperation between SO and HO. The objective of the national call aimed at knowing the results of learning through different tools was achieved because the key skills acquired by the participants as a result of participating in this exchange were recognized through the YouthPass certificate. The present project succeeded, thanks to the permanent interaction between young people who represented different countries, thus different cultures, religions, social statuses, to make the participants (P) better understand their role in society, not only in the community they come from , but also within Europe. All this could be achieved because all the activities were thought in such a way as to facilitate the opening of borders between cultures and the integration of P in the multicultural context of the project. Moreover, the sharing and promotion of customs, traditions, knowledge and national values was achieved through the World Cafe activity (intercultural dialogue), through cultural evenings, but especially through creative and work workshops. During these creative and work workshops, P became more receptive and aware of the cultural diversity existing at the European level because the promotion of national traditions and customs (of each participating state) was achieved through direct contact: participant - the presented culture (each national team of created a story and managed to create a conducive, multicultural work environment through the methods and working techniques used). Specifically, during the work and creation workshops, we managed to create stories, presentations of the national symbols chosen by each participating country and to make various paper objects (using the Origami technique) through which we managed to promote the traditions and customs of the 6 participating countries, and also to inspire the creative spirit among the young participants by organizing fairs and exhibitions. In another vein, the project "Nice to meet!" it also has a social component by including 24 young people with fewer opportunities in mobility activities. Thus, we managed to give a chance for personal development to some young people for whom access to alternative learning methods is much more difficult.
