Objectives

The project aimed to show that disability should not be considered a barrier. This project had a chance to offer support and an opportunity to share best practices. Within this project we had a chance to work with all people who want to dance, creating a process based on equality. During the project, we had a chance to achieve raising awareness about the importance of integrating dance into the personal development and growth plan for all young people to reduce isolation and empower self-expression. With mixed abilities, implemented dance performances encouraged viewers to examine their beliefs, misconceptions, and attitudes about people with disabilities. Creating and supporting inclusive dance groups in communities throughout the world helped to awaken the spirit of equality and diversity in each community that took part in the project. With this project, we were keen to view the arts as a force for both personal fulfillment and social good and seek to place music and dance at the center of civic life. The participants (for example activities, material for classes, etc.) were shared on the Internet as examples of good practices. By involving music and dance we managed to foster intercultural understanding among people and get closer to common European values, such as social integration. Another aim of the project was to increase the skills of participants in the musical field and the dance world so that they can one day make a job of it, considering the high unemployment rate in the partner countries. (Eurostat showed that in 2019 47.3 % of unemployed disabled youngsters). The aims of this project were coherent with the objectives of the Erasmus + program since the planned to demonstrate the groundlessness of prejudices and promote the social inclusion of: - Foreigners, are often observed differently, due to their culture or the color of their skin, which means discrimination. - Disabled people, are often marginalized. With this project, we fostered allowing people with disabilities to participate in this project a benefit for them, to make them feel integrated into the company, and managed to increase their sensitivity towards them. - People with socio-economic difficulties were involved in all activities. - People with geographical obstacles, guaranteed the removal of obstacles to flooding participation in the project.
