Objectives

The idea of the project started from the discussions held by the 6 coordinators about the eco and green system, but especially the objectives for young people in the context of Erasmus+. People today are increasingly damaging the world, including the environment they live in, whether at the individual or corporate level. Ecotourism is one of the nature-friendly approaches that have entered our lives not long ago. Ecotourism, which should perhaps most concern young people, means travel experience in harmony with the ecosystem. The fact that young people do not have enough information on this subject negatively affects the environment and the ecosystem. The fact that young people do not have the right knowledge about ecotourism and do not realize its practical applications hinders the protection of natural resources and the environment and ensuring sustainability. Since the writing stage, ASALT has thought through the activities to have an impact on the participants and the target group. Following the youth exchange, the most important impact was on the 51 young participants. So: 1. Short-term impact on participants: - they have become more friendly with nature, they know how to highlight tourist communities - have become more eco-green with nature - they understood the benefits they have through non-formal education methods (many of them were participating for the first time in an E+ project) - they learned exactly what discrimination is and were able to reflect during the activities on the negative effects on young people when they are discriminated/excluded - they learned different ecotourism practices and strategies in countries; Developing the ability to access online resources related to ecotourism - they understood the relationship between ecotourism - nature - environment and culture - they became more confident in their own strengths and gained self-esteem - they became more empathetic towards other cultures and understood that they are part of the great European family - they are more open to participate in new E+ projects Objectives: 1 Developing the knowledge and skills of 51 young people from 6 countries about the objectives, scope and various applications of ecotourism. This objective was achieved through activities/methods such as: What is ecotourism, Principles of ecotourism, Zero waste tourism 2 Promoting and approaching ecotourism as sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism. This objective was achieved through activities such as: Good-practices in ecotourism, Outdoor ecotourism practice, Photo Safari and Zero waste tourism 3 Encouraging the conservation of cultural values and the conscious use of natural resources. This objective was achieved through the communication between the participants, through the intercultural evenings and the exchange of ideas between the participants. 4 Raising awareness of rural development and tourism activities in accordance with the local population and local resources. This objective was achieved through activities such as: Outdoor ecotourism practice, Zero waste tourism, Good-practices in ecotourism. The objectives of the project were achieved especially during the implementation period of mobility in Costinesti, but also in the other Implementation Stages - Mobility Preparation and especially in the DEOR Stage, where the young participants were a living example of change. With the help of this mobility, the young participants learned the 7 principles of ecotourism: 1 A trips to natural destinations. 2 Minimizing the impact. 3 Development of environmental awareness. 4 To provide direct financial benefits for conservation. 5 To provide financial benefits and power to local people. 6 Local cultural respect 7 Support for human rights and democratic movements. Competences, which are embedded in attitudes, knowledge and skills, were outlined by the ASK method: 1. Attitudes - Attitudes - Increasing confidence in one's own resources - Accountability in crisis situations - Understanding and compassion towards other young people with limited opportunities - Manifestation of empathy towards other cultures - Developing the creativity of young people - Responsibility and relationship between different groups of young people - Young people know how to work in a team 2. Skills - Skills - Development of leadership skills, concentration, attention and logical thinking - Developing skills in crisis situations - Acquiring a correct skill in case of crisis/emergency - Improving communication in English 3.
