Objectives

Through the activities of the DIGIT project, we achieved the following objectives 1. Acquiring and increasing digital skills for 14 youth workers and 40 young people aged between 18-30 from partner organizations that work actively in the field of youth over the course of 18 months. This objective was achieved by: = implementation of a TC specialized in digital tools for 5 days with 14 youth workers. They acquired new digital skills for using digital tools in working with young people 2. Mapping the needs at the level of local communities regarding the digital skills and knowledge of young people to work with innovative tools. This objective was reached between the 3rd and 6th months of activity by a number of 350 young people (from RO and TR). We developed a questionnaire for youth workers and young people from NGOs to identify their needs. This mapping helped to develop the work methodology within TC. 3 Requesting organizational capacity through cross-sector cooperation between NGOs and local authorities, developing coordination skills and synergies during the 18 months of the project.

Background

The idea of the project emerged during the 2020 pandemic when all youth mobility stopped or went online. I saw that many youth NGOs do not have the capacity to work in the online environment with young people. We made the tree of needs for both organizations from which we understood that: = we have a small number of youth workers who have digital skills = the young people from the 2 organizations do not have digital skills and did not know how to use digital tools = in both organizations they had low capacity to work online with young people = youth workers lacked self-confidence in working online - especially in a non-formal context = there were no databases or platforms to support youth workers and volunteers in digital skills = low operational capacity for both parent organizations = ASALT is a new organization in Erasmus+ and we considered small scale projects a good application opportunity = in both organizations there are young people with limited opportunities who have never participated in Erasmus+ projects
