The project had the following specific objectives: 1) To encourage more strategic and integrated use of digital technologies and open educational resources for students in the partner HEIs; 2) To develop innovative learning pathways for students, at graduate level, through challenge-based research and practice, geared towards acquiring transversal skills for better employability; 3) To increase the capacity of the HEIs and to provide them with resources to manage an effective shift towards digital education; 4) To develop pedagogy and expertise in the co-creation of digital education content with the active involvement of students. The project supported structured cooperation between three HEIs in Southeast Europe and one in Turkey, including through virtual and blended cooperation. Thus, we aimed to induce a more modern, dynamic, committed and professional environment inside the participating HEIs, to be more open to synergies with local/regional organizations in different fields and socio-economic sectors.
The Learn.Inc project aimed to advance teaching and learning innovation in the partner HEIs in Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, and Turkey, through cross-institutional collaboration, knowledge sharing and networking which extends beyond academia and seeks inspiration, feedback and validation from local communities and stakeholders. Learn.Inc focuses on fostering creativity and redesigning learning spaces through challenge-based learning (CBL) for graduate-level students (MA and PhDs); more specifically, we aimed to promote innovation in student-centered learning and teaching, with students codesigning flexible and modular e-learning formats that are developed in response to pertinent societal issues. By bringing learning and formal education closer to the agenda of society and local communities, the project strived to create a supportive environment for bottom-up initiatives where teachers and students access and develop knowledge in an agile way, where research is a key element in the process, and learners follow personalized learning paths with ownership of the results and achievements.
