Background

Our school is a vocational one educating profiles in many different areas. As such, there are a large number of students attending classes according to an individual educational plan. However, the teachers of our school as well as the professional associates are not sufficiently educated for work with students needing additional support. We are missing knowledge and skills, as in writing and implementation of individual educational plans, so in methodical work with such students. For this reason the teachers are not motivated to work in classes where are students needing additional educational support. We are also missing knowledge and skills for work with the families of these students. Due to this we considered the examples of good practice in Portugal would help us, the country which is in the EU and has many years of experience in implementing inclusion in its educational system.
