The main objectives were to: 1. Increase the competencies of our teachers for dual learning system to improve teaching processes. Sending our teachers to see well implemented dual learning system created an opportunity for new ideas and teaching methods in our school environment. Attending a course in another country and differently organized education system gave our teachers a new perspective, different from the standard framework. 2. To support and promote dual learning system in order to raise awareness of the importance of the connection between business and education in career guidance. To support and promote dual learning system to raise awareness about the importance of the connection between business and education in career guidance. Our idea was that training participants disseminate the main advantages of a dual learning system in Germany to the various target groups (the rest of our school's staff, students, other education institutions on a local level, local authorities, and local businesses). Moreover, we promoted Project, Erasmus+ Programme, and dual learning system in local media and social networks.
The Secondary School of Economics and Trade from Kula (Ekonomsko trgovinska škola- ETS Kula) was established in 1960. With over 60 years of existence, it has proved to be one of the pillars of vocational education in the region. The Project idea was to get know-how and good practices for better cooperation and connection of the educational and business sector in education. Currently, the strongest accent in educational system in Serbia is on theory, and practical knowledge is organized mainly in school conditions. Opportunities for students to gain practical experience during education in working conditions and environment are deficient. Due to that this project was valuable for our school as it allowed our teachers to see and learn how well-organized dual learning system is functioning as well as the benefits of this system in learning processes. Moreover, Project implementation gave us bases and ideas on how to implement dual learning system in our school to create better learning processes and increase the level practical knowledge of our students.
