With the implementation of this project we want to improve student competencies in the care of mobile, semi-mobile, immobile and terminal patients, improve competencies in health education with geriatric patients with special reference to patients with diabetes and hypertension, improve competencies in patients with with a special focus on working with patients in order to restore any memory, we improve competencies in working with neurological patients, especially with patients with Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. To enable students to learn about new cultures, improve their language and gain some new experiences that will last a lifetime. On the other hand, accompanying teachers would share their experience in working with gerontological patients (because so far the school has never implemented its exercises in a nursing home, so teachers have no practical knowledge) which would raise the quality of teaching class.
Caregivers are a new course in our school. With the enrollment of a new course as a school, we faced new organizational and structural problems. With the systematization of jobs, caregivers are only recognized for working in nursing homes, and they have the fewest exercises in them according to the plan. Which leads to the fact that after school they are not the best trained for the job for which they are studying. Students who enroll in the direction of caregivers mostly belong to families of lower social status, as well as to vulnerable social groups. This social map of the department says that most of them will apply for employment immediately after graduation and therefore our desire is to make them more competitive in the labor market. To achieve this, the school has identified mobility projects as an ideal solution for our needs. Teachers and pupils will gain the experience they need to work in the profession, but also in the organization of teaching.
