When it comes to real needs of the industry, very often we have the opportunity to see how students who finish regular education, need additional training in various fields, so that they are able to fit into the work processes at their workplace. Focusing on the mechatronics and IT courses, our intention is to try to compensate for some of the shortcomings of the teaching curricula of the mentioned courses through this project. Namely, mechatronics technicians deal with industrial automation through their education, but they do not have outcomes dedicated to the networking of industrial components and their connection. On the other hand, IT technicians deal, among other things, with networking, but they have very few teaching units dedicated to the real needs of the industry. With this project, we wanted to give both of them a chance to learn what they lack engaging mobility participants on the same work task through a project that deals with industrial automation and networking. Besides this, our goal was to improve linguistic competences of both teachers and students. We wanted to give the participants a chance to enrich their cultural awareness, and, through inclusive note, influence students with fewer opportunities.
Technical school in Pirot set the internationalization of the teaching process through European cooperation projects as its strategic goal within the European Development Plan. The Erasmus+ project, in which we are participating for the second time, is one of the ways in which we want to improve the teaching process in school. The name of our Erasmus project is Together We Build Tomorrow. By its very name it is obvious that the project symbolizes joint work in the context of achieving some common goals. The idea of our project was to gather in one place students and teachers of two different educational profiles, who will perform certain work tasks together within the Erasmus project, and thus jointly acquire certain professional competences and upgrade their knowledge. In this way, we wanted to compensate for the shortcomings of regular teaching curricula for certain educational profiles that do not provide all the necessary knowledge to students during schooling, but instead, after finding a job, students must go through the process of additional training, or even further education, in order to fit in, as soon as possible, into the requirements of the workplace and respond to the challenges of modern industry.
