The idea of this project was to gather youth workers and youth leaders to discuss, share knowledge and experiences regarding work with young people, especially when we take into consideration COVID19 pandemic and challenges that were faced by organizations and those who work with young people, during the pandemic. Most of the organizations and individuals needed to adapt their work and were forced by unexpected circumstances to rethink their practice of youth work and to take into consideration digital youth work and digital tools as a support to their work. The situation triggered different ideas and in the period of pandemic, a lot of innovative digital tools appeared and were put in use. Most of the organizations that are part of this consortium had at least part of their activities transferred online especially during the lock-down. Youth workers and educators brought up discussions about non-formal education and it’s values in online contexts, as well as the importance of the digital competencies. Youth workers and youth leaders need to continuously work on their own digital competencies, improve their awareness of the effect of the technology, follow the trend and introduce digital dimension to their programs for young people. The aim that we wanted to achieve was to offer space for reflection on the experience in the pandemic period, lock-down and restricted mobility, draw conclusions and capitalize on the lessons learned. Main aim of the project was to improve the quality, availability and visibility of youth work, by building capacities of youth workers and youth leaders to create and implement new innovative programs in the sphere of digital youth work. Specific objectives were: To raise the awareness of competences for digital dimension of youth work and encourage youth workers to relate them to their practice To improve youth workers’ and youth leaders’ understanding of digital youth work, as well as capacities to critically explore digital media and technology To equip youth workers and youth leaders with competences to use digital tools in effective way in their youth work programs; To enable space for youth workers and youth leaders to explore new and innovative ways of using digital media and technology in their work with young people; To build capacities of youth workers and youth leaders for creating and implementing new and innovative youth work programs in the sphere of digital youth work.
