The goal of the project was to improve the teaching of professional graphic design subjects adapted to the labor market in partner schools in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Portugal. The specific goals are: A detailed analysis of the plans and programs of teaching professional subjects of graphic design in these four countries with emphasis on good practices and deficiencies in teaching in order to develop modern teaching. Creation of a digital textbook for the subject of graphic design that is adapted to the labor market and current software solutions. Improving knowledge and software skills of teachers. Establishing a network between schools in order to cooperate and improve teaching.
Graphic design is a profession that is constantly changing and developing at a rapid pace, school systems are not fast enough to keep up with all these changes. These changes directly affect the labor market because graduates are expected to possess knowledge that is currently current and in demand. That is why innovations are needed in school systems that will keep graphic design in step with the times. The creation of an international curriculum, which was obtained through a detailed analysis of the program and the labor market in this country, translated into a digital textbook that will be used as a methodical aid for teachers in teaching. In the partner countries (Serbia, Portugal, Croatia and Slovenia), there was no curriculum analysis, nor was there a graphic design manual, so the need for such a teaching tool was essential.
