Deisgngymnasiets have a goal to match the vocational students toward the need of the labour market, and make the students employable when ready with their exam. Another part is to interest the students with teoretical background to continue their studies, with possibilities for studies abroad. That together with the staff projects, is how the different project are linked together, and give us new thoughts, and new mature students, and at the same time give the staff a glance outside the school and their own country. The school will increase the possibility for a good education in modern time. We increase the presence time in school , and decrease early defection. The EU goal to support the European dimension for educating teachers and their teaching is lifted in quality when the project is spread via staff, students and media.
Designgymnasiet are today working to be a school in Europe.We cooperate with several international organisations, we work with guest lecturers from other countries, and offer the vocational students internship abroad which we hope to continue with. We give our staff opportunity to jobshadow in other countries, and welcome teachers from other countries to come and jobshadow in Designgymnasiet.Though a big part of our students are coming from other countries and cultures , it is a natural way of thinking in the school inviroment, how it works to live in other cultures. This is something we like to improve and develop. Together with Erasmus we can do this kind of project both for students and staff at school. It is a strategic part of the schools work to develop Desighgymnasiet, and take care of the daily work and inviroment in school. The international work at school will follow the development at school as a red thread. When it comes to the internship the third class, will come in the first hand and do the internship abroad. We have also offered the second class internship if we have the possibility, with more placements.
