We consider the project to be a very important part of our internationalisation since the programme offers the possibility for students, teachers/staff to spend time at a partner university as well as living an everyday life abroad. Through such an experience the participants acquire an intercultural understanding, knowledge, reflections, and objectives that cannot be obtained in an equal way in regular classes/meetings at home. For students not participating in the programme, it is of great value that their teachers go on an exchange so they can bring back new teaching methods and knowledge that can be applied at home, while teachers not taking part in the programme gain better understanding with cultural differences in encounters with students and colleagues from other countries. The project helps to increase internationalisation at home through incoming students and staff who enrich the academic environment with their culture, background knowledge, perspectives, and input. Our goal with the project is to widen the perspective of our own students, teachers/staff through both exchange, collaboration, and internationalisation at home and that all courses read abroad can be transferred/fully recognised toward the students' degrees.
