Objectives

Chalmers University of Technology’s Erasmus+ work is closely connected with the priorities for higher education at the European level. The EU wants to create a European Education Area where digitalisation, inclusion, skills development connected with the needs of the labour market, and networks of European universities are important aspects of achieving this. Chalmers has two main strategies: the Erasmus Policy Statement and an internationalisation strategy for education. Implemented recently, the latter has been developed collaboratively between the Deans of education, Chalmers International Mobility team, as well as departmental representation. Its main implication is that all students at Chalmers upon graduation should have received intercultural competences. It is based on strong cooperation with universities, enterprises and society around the world that confirm our excellence in education, research and innovation. Chalmers chooses strategic partners in selected regions according to their quality values and competitiveness. Moreover, Chalmers’ has a renewed vision to take significant steps towards developing into a world-class university over the next 20 years, including academic quality at the highest European level.
