Objectives

The LiU strategy map states the university's ambition to be a university with international standing and it is supported by the internationalisation strategy that aims to strengthen the development and quality in research, education, collaboration and administrative support. One example of an indicator that shows development in the right direction is that LiU has high participation in European educational and research programmes and that employees and students enjoy good opportunities to participate in international mobility. Erasmus+ is by far the most comprehensive program in terms of opportunities and actions and hence crucial for the university's ability to fulfill the objectives in the strategy. Furthermore, the internationalisation strategy states that all students, including doctoral students, who graduate from LiU shall have developed their international and intercultural understanding through their studies at LiU. Employees shall have a good ability to work in an international and intercultural context. The possibility of mobility through the Erasmus+ program is vital for achieving the goals of the organisation.
