The University of Gävle’s emphasizes Erasmus+ mobility as a fundamental tool in achieving the key goals within the University’s strategic plan (2021-2030) and vital to improving competence and quality in an inclusive and sustainable way. Our principal strategies include internationally oriented education and research and long-term collaborative partnerships, as well as innovative and digital learning environments, all of which are in line with Erasmus+ principles. During Call 2021, the University became a member of the European University Alliance EU GREEN which focuses on international cooperation and mobility with a strong focus on social inclusion and the green and digital transition. By implementing this project, we aim to create long-term benefits for all students and staff and to support the development of professional, intercultural and global skills at all levels of our organisation. In line with this aim, our focus in this project has been to encourage more students to participate in mobility in different forms and to strategically invest in staff training at all parts of the organisation. We also had the ambition to increase awareness and implement more mobility opportunities for Ph.D students.
