During the project period, the University has worked in accordance with its development plan for 2017-2022 which emphasised the importance of internationalisation in education and research. Through close collaboration with foreign universities, primarily through student and staff exchange and research collaborations, we are able to improve our own operations and prepare our students for participation in an increasingly internationalised global landscape. One of the goals of the development plan is that at least 15% of students who complete a degree at the University should have studied or applied their studies with internships abroad as a part of their study time. The Erasmus programme plays a crucial role in our efforts to achieve the goals outlined in the development plan as well as the European Policy Statement. The main goals for this project were: 1) To increase the number of both incoming and outgoing student and staff exchanges 2) To strengthen our relationships with our partner universities 3) To develop internationalisation at home, such as by improving the integration between Swedish and foreign students in teaching.
