Objectives

Vänersborg's project aimed to enhance students' well-being by adopting active engagement strategies from other countries, integrating international insights into the Swedish teaching environment. Daugavpils focused on promoting physical and mental health, fostering skill development, and challenging stereotypes through inclusive sports activities to empower students. Cervia aimed at achieving European citizenship, collaboration, and reducing school dropouts, particularly targeting learners with social difficulties. Collectively, the projects aimed at improving students' overall well-being, fostering physical activity, and creating inclusive educational environments, with a lasting impact on their holistic development.

Background

Vänersborg initiated the Erasmus+ project to enhance education by integrating physical activity and academic achievement. Focused on countering the decline in students' physical activity from modern lifestyles, the project aimed to improve academic scores and create a stimulating learning environment. Inclusivity, aligned with the Swedish education system, targeted barriers to physical activity and learning. International collaboration offered personal and professional growth, sharing insights across Europe. Daugavpils joined to enhance teachers' capacity, develop students' knowledge, and improve the educational environment. The school aimed for inclusivity, broadening students' worldviews through international experiences. Cervia aimed to raise awareness of European citizenship skills and enhance wellness through diverse cultural physical activities. The project sought to foster connections beyond the classroom, especially relevant post-pandemic. In summary, Erasmus+ united schools for holistic education, addressing physical activity decline, improving academics, and fostering inclusivity. Collaboration aimed for positive change, promoting well-being and active lifestyles, with international perspectives contributing to growth.
