The objectives that we wanted to achieve through the CSR2VET project were; 1. To promote CSR as a methodology for bettering the VET sector, 2. To increase engagement and participation of fewer opportunity people in VET, 3. To increase employability opportunities and promote new roles in companies through CSR, 4. To increase the awareness of educational situations, especially vocational education, on social responsibility, 5. To promote environmental friendly approaches, more inclusive society and active community involvement.
We applied to implement the CSR2VET project because of the need to address the need for CSR in the VET sector. We believe that VET schools play a pivotal role in developing a skilled workforce that meets the demands of the modern labor market. By integrating CSR principles, these schools would foster a culture of social responsibility, sustainability, and ethical practices among students, preparing them to be conscientious professionals and active citizens. For this reason, we have planned to train the trainers and VET providers during our project to create multiple impacts. Moreover, CSR initiatives would help bridge the gap between education and industry, providing teachers and trainers effective ways and activities of CSR suitable for their classroom, and thus providing students with real-world experiences. This project not only improved the educational outcomes and employability of VET providers but also contributed to the quality of their education directed to the VET students. Hence, with the light of this need we have applied for this project.
