The project aimed to reduce threats to ecological balance with sustainable agricultural practices, increase the awareness of young people to spread smart and sustainable agricultural practices, and encourage young people to sustainable agricultural production. The specific goals of our project were as follows: -To increase the knowledge and awareness of young people about the importance of sustainable agriculture. - To teach young people about sustainable agriculture practices that they can apply in their own homes and gardens and to motivate them to do these practices. -To introduce permaculture practice as sustainable agriculture to young people. Due to the intensive chemical fertilizers used in soil cultivation and agricultural practices based on pesticides, the health and naturalness of the soil deteriorate, the water is polluted, and the biological diversity decreases with the effect of chemicals. This danger is mentioned in all sources examined in the field survey and this situation poses a serious danger for future generations. We intended to reduce negative environmental conditions and increase production without harming the environment and nature. Sustainable agriculture is an agricultural system where technological practices are made that meet the needs of today and future generations and protect natural assets and human health. The purpose of Sustainable Agriculture is to keep the economy alive in the short and long term, to increase the quality of life of those engaged in agriculture, and to develop practices for this purpose, while maintaining productivity in agriculture on the one hand, and reducing the damage to the environment on the other. Food production can be increased by 58% with sustainable agricultural practices. The existence of such studies at the level of non-governmental organizations is indisputable. After the project idea, we prepared a questionnaire on google form and sent it to the relevant people to be applied and this link was placed on our Facebook group. The results we got from the survey showed that people had a lack of knowledge in this field. Those living in rural areas and engaged in agriculture generally do this job with hearsay information and unconsciously use herbal medicine. We raised awareness about the importance of sustainable agriculture, on the other hand, awareness was raised in young people about protecting the environment and nature, and a contribution was made to raising nature-friendly young people in order to leave a better world for future generations.
