We have established realistic objectives and we set out to achieve the following: - to improve competences of 30 youthworkers from 5 countries in the use of NonFormalEducation in cultural activities that support young people's personal development - to increase the capacity of 30 youthworkers and 9 organizations to use cultural activities in inclusion and diversity context - to empower 30 youthworkers from 5 different countries in designing and implementing Non formal education activities in cultivating social cohesion and intercultural dialogue - to strengthen the capacity of 9 organizations from 5 countries in promoting socio-cultural values and diversity - to contribute to the quality of youth work in using culture as a tool for positive social dynamics
The project aspired to employ culture as a tool for personal, organizational, and community development. Recognizing the need for new approaches and tools in our youth work, these three principles were directly focused on and involved youth, making significant contributions to organizations and generating an overall positive impact on the youthwork we carry on. The project responded to common needs regarding quality in youthwork, using culture as a tool to increase youthwork and respond to emerging, actual needs of youth and communities. The crucial need we addressed was to significantly enhance the competences of our youth workers in the realms of intercultural dialogue and international cooperation within the youth sector. The project also brought us new tools and approaches in youth work, specifically designed to support youth workers in their efforts with disadvantaged youth.
