Objectives

We wanted to achieve the following objectives with the project: Objective 1: Acquisition of new quality tools and practical experience for the use of only these for the identification and evaluation of informally acquired knowledge (UVNZ) for the implementation of consultations in adult education. Objective 2: Implemented and monitored in the field effective mechanisms of connection between consultants, employers, employees and educational organizations with the aim of ensuring greater flexibility of employees. Objective 3: Increased accessibility of advisory activities for those stakeholders who are particularly vulnerable and for those who have so far been less involved in advisory processes - also due to the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. Goal 4: Increased involvement of adults, recognized as more vulnerable, in quality educational processes - live and via online classrooms. Objective 5: Additional professionalization of professional/educational staff and strengthening of LUNG's capacity to implement mobility projects and expand ways of accessing the implementation of consulting activities in IO.

Background

Guidance in Adult education is one of Ljudska univerza Nova Gorica's main services. The current state of affairs makes the implementation of our guidance activities quite a challenge – especially finding new ways of approaching the most vulnerable users as well as providing a flexible and efficient validation of non-formal and informal learning. Different types of users are addressed by the guidance service in adult education – employed, unemployed, different vulnerable groups of users. This variety of users requires innovative, creative and flexible approaches to make this service available to all who find access even more challenging in the current situation in society. At LUNG we constantly implement quality assurance activities in all our adult education and guidance programmes. The ongoing process of developing and testing our quality standards requires all our employees to foster constant professional growth. We see international mobility as a key element in achieving this.
