By joining the project, we wanted to increase attention to the individual needs of students with complex support needs The goals we pursued: 1. To develop the professional and personal competences of the staff and establish contacts with colleagues from abroad. 2. Upgrade distance learning methods for students with special needs via mobility - tracking at the workplace to learn about the organization of work, programs for students with complex support needs at the related school and inclusive processes in Spain. 3. To enable the travel experience and active participation for students with with complex support needs in the frame of partnership with a related school in Spain.
The analysis in the organization showed that the existing programs for students with combined disabilities are often inadequate. Cirius Vipava wants to establish new programs for these people, with which we will get closer their complex needs while helping their families. We planned the project with awareness that as an institution we are obliged to take care of the most vulnerable population and people with KM enable equal inclusion, thereby spreading the message that inclusion means inclusion in the widest meaning and learning for successful coexistence. Compassion and pity must be replaced with a strategy for success inclusion of even the most vulnerable population. The project focused not only on students, but also on professionals and families. Professional workers will get to know a different culture, organizations, inclusive processes and complementary methods in other European countries. They will form a strong network experts in the education of pupils with special needs, who will test the methods and them implemented in practice. Families will also receive better support.
