At our school, we felt the need to upgrade teachers' skills, improve and develop modern teaching practices in the international field. They have helped us to work with students, preferably from groups with fewer opportunities, but also with everyone else in terms of acceptance of difference: we wanted to improve their self-confidence, motivation and independence at work, with a focus on ICT competences. This has led to an increase in the quality of teaching, which is reflected in consistently higher targets and excellent results. We wanted to follow innovations in the field of inclusion of children and adolescents abroad, especially with the support of ICT, and to exchange good practices with similar organisations abroad, which we wanted to transfer to our home environment and build on. International cooperation was aimed at boosting staff confidence, openness, team spirit, ICT competences, foreign language skills and intercultural dialogue. We wanted to be more connected to the local environment and wider society.
