The University of Maribor (UM) recognises the Erasmus+ programme as a development opportunity to build capacity in all areas of its activities and to achieve excellence in academia and research. The programme is becoming one of the most important means of internationalisation of the UM (UM Strategy 2021–2030). The UM sees it as a means to achieve its strategic objectives. * * The main target group in this project is students. By increasing the number of outgoing and incoming mobility, we have been strengthening the competences of students, and by involving alumni Erasmus students and incoming students, we have been implementing a number of internationalisation activities at home. * * We have developed interactive content to integrate international students and prepare the UM students for mobility. * * In staff mobility, we have increased the impact of mobility at the UM through targeted promotion of specific staff groups (e.g. researchers, assistants). * * Great emphasis has been given to upgrading the Erasmus+ project website (erasmusplus.um.si), which is the UM internationalisation website and offers a wide range of content, from promotional to dissemination content (exchange results).
