Objectives

Our project aimed to enhance the educational skills of teachers and students by integrating Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence over a 24-month collaboration with partner organizations. We focused on providing educators and learners with a solid foundation in Cloud Computing, optimizing digital education delivery, and improving engagement through practical, real-world applications. Additionally, we sought to personalize learning experiences using AI to adapt materials to individual needs, aiming to create a more interactive and efficient educational environment for modern students and educators.

Background

We submitted this proposal to tackle challenges in the educational system, particularly a standardised approach to education that fails to adapt to the various learning abilities and preferences of students. Our project aims to develop new educational approaches that respond to the different needs of students with varying levels of analytical, creative, and communication skills. We focused on addressing these demands in the context of open and remote learning. We focused on addressing the absence of personalised learning experiences in educational settings that commonly utilise a standardised approach. This creates a particular challenge in distance learning, as the dynamics of teacher-student interactions differ significantly from those in conventional settings. We introduced AI to develop flexible learning materials and assessments tailored to each student's specific needs and learning styles. This approach enhances fairness and accuracy in remote education evaluations, ensuring they meet ethical assessment standards. The motivation for this project came from the potential of AI to transform educational methods, enhancing student engagement and effectiveness in various settings.
