The project was created as a response to the needs that the partners had perceived in their local environment for a long time, and during the covid-19 crisis, these needs became even more expressed. The basic need that we addressed during the project is the need to take care of the mental health of young people. The research "Effects of COVID-19 on the mental health and psychological well-being of young people" done by dr. Stefanos Mastrotheodoros at Utrecht University in the Netherlands states that the COVID-19 pandemic is a global disaster and that there is a lot of evidence that confirms the deterioration of the psychological well-being of young people during the pandemic. A study in southern Italy found, among many others, large negative effects on the mental health of young people during the first month of lockdown, as indicated by an increase in depression, anxiety and aggressive behavior, and a decrease in psychological strength (Parola et al. al., 2020). A similar finding was made for Slovenia in MSS (http://mss.si/novice/dusevno-zdravje-mss-sprejel-mnenjski-dokument/). The covid-19 pandemic caused a crisis that the whole world faced. During this time, young people were faced: - with several weeks to several months of closure of schools and other educational institutions, - with distance learning, - with the closure of social and social life (no cultural events, no concerts, no festivals, no theater, libraries, etc.), - with the complete closure of countries or regions (exits from apartments/houses only for urgent errands), - with a curfew, - by wearing masks, - with social distance, at a time when we need it most, - with the losses of loved ones, - with illness, - with the recommended greater use of modern technology During the pandemic, we all learned and adapted to a new lifestyle. We young people, just like our parents, relatives and friends, faced severe feelings of fear, anxiety, loneliness, exclusion, anger, sadness and frustration. We have all wondered how we can take care of ourselves and our loved ones as much as possible, so that we come out of this situation healthy, both physically and mentally. With this project, we wanted to give tools and directions to other young people, based on our own experiences. In this way, we taught young people about what they can do in such and similar situations as individuals, what as a group of friends and how we can support each other as much as possible and thus be equipped for the future. We were faced with a severe test, the consequences of which are only beginning to be seen. Our purpose of the project was to empower young people so that they are able to take care of their mental health in a rapidly changing modern society. The goals of the project were - 1. The participants of the exchange learned to use 4 techniques for dealing with internal and external stressful situations. 2. Exchange participants had enough time for themselves and a safe space was created in which they could express themselves authentically and reconnect with themselves. 3. The participants expressed their feelings and (self) realizations with the help of photography. Results of the exchange: 1. The participants learned 4 techniques for dealing with stressful situations. 2. Reflection exercise "puzzle" together with Positive envelopes. 3. A unique public photography exhibition. 4. 21 Youthpass certificates issued.
