The aim of the youth exchange was to empower the participants mainly in two key areas: - To raise awareness of the importance of caring for nature and environmental awareness in general. The goal was to encourage young people to think about and also take action in preserving a clean environment, especially by joining organizations that ensure care for a clean environment, they represent a great investment in creating a society that will be environmentally friendly; - To raise awareness of how stereotypes affect our perception of certain social groups and why hunters, who play a major role in taking care of nature, are seen mainly negatively. They thought about where stereotypes and prejudices come from and how we can avoid these prejudices by getting to know the work of a certain social group. During the exchange, we wanted to raise awareness of the importance of the knowledge about nature and the environment, as well as care for living creatures in nature throughout the year. In nature, everything is interconnected, it must be protected and used carefully. Despite all this, it is necessary to protect it as a special value and preserve the hunting tradition. Hunting culture in Slovenia is closely related to various activities of sustainable management and environmental protection. The main task of hunters and their responsibility is an ethical and humane attitude towards wild game, nature and other hunters, care for the food options of animals, prevention of destruction of nature and cooperation with users of the space. It is necessary to emphasize the connection between man and nature and its importance of its preservation. In addition to repressive measures, clean-up campaigns place special emphasis on preventive activities, especially among young people. From year to year, more and more individuals, elementary school students, high school students, societies, organizations participate, who care about the environment we live in. The purpose of the project is to raise awareness among the population about caring for the environment, which begins first in every home with the separation and proper disposal of waste. Awareness is important because our future depends on all of us. Each individual is a piece in the composition of this mosaic, as mutual cooperation and the voluntary contribution of the individual is the foundation of a joint contribution to a better and more humane future. It is necessary to be aware of the role of organizations that perform the function of guardians and maintainers of this environment in the local environment and to achieve a reduction of prejudices towards their work through planned education. One of the main project goals of the exchange is to stimulate a permanent awareness of nature conservation among the participants of the exchange. Young people and young people with fewer opportunities as individuals make up the social environment and as a society live in a common natural environment, from which it follows that the quality of the natural environment significantly affects the quality of the social environment and vice versa. As part of the project, young people were made aware that the natural environment is an indispensable part of the concept of sustainable development. Man's intervention in the environment is taking on forms and dimensions that arouse concern. It is necessary to be aware of the impact that humans have on the natural environment and the possibilities they have for its preservation.
