Objectives

Today, many people around the world are isolated from nature. Often they do not see any connection between their lifestyle, behaviour, consumption and the negative changes that are occurring in the environment at all levels - from the local to the global. The ecology of our planet is deteriorating every day. More and more every day. Few people are interested in preserving and protecting our environment and nature. The main focus of this intercultural exchange was to work together as a group and raise awareness of this problem, first among peers and project participants and then subsequently among our local associations. Despite the fact that there are many projects of this kind and others that address environmental issues, there are still not enough of them and still people living in poor conditions need support and cooperation to address environmental issues such as the harmful effects of human activities on the biophysical environment. The direct target group of the project were participants aged between 13 and 17 years. The decision to work with this target group on the theme "Environment and Nature" was taken by all partner organisations - in the understanding that the next generation will essentially shape our future, and the future of the whole planet. One day our participants will be independent decision-makers, educators and, who knows, maybe one day world-renowned policy-makers. What we teach, demonstrate and motivate today will undoubtedly influence their future life choices and eco-friendly habits. Moreover, teaching and showing them how to lead a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle has taught them to take responsibility for their actions and to maintain a healthier planet. The youth exchange worked mainly on raising public interest in the environmental problems and challenges facing our planet. The aim of the project was to promote the environmental involvement of young people from different countries through youth exchanges. The project also aimed to encourage young people to prevent pollution, to be environmentally friendly and to disseminate information about environmental problems to and among the local community. Our main objectives were: - To provide the participants with the necessary skills and attitudes to involve young people in activities related to environmental issues; - to exchange views, approaches, experiences and information on environmental situations and issues between the participating countries through non-formal education and peer learning methods; - finding ways to address environmental problems in each country; - Promoting healthy lifestyle activities for young people in the context of environmental protection; - raising awareness of recycling through artistic activities and workshops among young people; -raise awareness of environmental pollution and its impact on our health; - to give young people an example of cooperation at international level and encourage them to take part in similar activities in the future; One of the aspects of this project was to involve rural youth in active social environmental activities back to their home places: spreading ECO thinking. The objectives of the project were, among others, to promote tolerance, pluralism and respect, to exchange experiences, "best practices" of multicultural communities and to foster cross-border cooperation. The project encouraged young people to prevent pollution and to disseminate information and findings on environmental problems in their local community.
