Motivate pupils to protect the environment by building a small educational garden. Pupils in cooperation with a partner school from the town of Hustopeče cooperated and motivated each other through activities in the online space - the TwinSpace classroom and subsequently during group mobility with various activities and learning from each other. Through this project and cooperation, they exchanged their knowledge and practices in solving environmental problems, interpersonal relationships and diversity of solutions in their schools. By working together and in mixed groups, we improved our skills in the field and connected the subjects taught in schools. After group mobility, pupils, and participants passed on their knowledge to their peers. Since they were pupils from different classes and grades, their transfer of experience from the given mobility had a wider scope. We have activated more pupils of our school and surroundings by sharing their activities, motivation, and increased interest in environmental protection.
Both schools from Slovakia and the Czech Republic are trying to broaden the horizons and awareness of their teachers and pupils and increase the quality of their provided education, cooperating on the project SMART SCHOOL, GREEN SCHOOL. They offered each other their merits and together they helped each other to achieve their goals. Interest in solving environmental problems served as a tool that proved that modern forms of education, and modern teaching methods do not weaken and They do not detract from the quality of lessons and the learning process. Conversely, students learned more if they were taught in a modern classroom environment, used modern teaching methods, and were given responsibility and space for self-evaluation. In addition, the project helped students gain motivation to use critical thinking to raise awareness of ecology. The aim of the project was to increase parents' satisfaction with schools, increase pupils' interest in their culture and heritage, address environmental issues, modernize teaching methods and school curriculum and show the importance of the school garden and IT skills for learning, teaching or life in the 21st century.
