It happens that teachers need motivation, to test themselves, to "measure" their abilities, pedagogical skills. They also need to compare themselves with other countries, to find out what they are doing well and should continue to do, and what they could change for the better, by means of self-reflection. Our partner school in Spain has been implementing tablet teaching for a long time and we planned to study this way of teaching as a possible alternative to our teaching. We have never implemented the type of mobility where our teacher would go abroad and teach his/her apprenticeship. The second need was from the students. It is no secret that pupils come to us also for intensive foreign Erasmus+ and eTwinning. They are attracted by the cooperation with foreign schools, pupils. The more timid ones work in eTwinning projects, the braver ones in Erasmus+ and they like to participate in mobilities. And occasionally there are those who would like to try long-term mobility. We wanted to give a pupil the opportunity to go on a long-term mobility in Spain.
Our school offers general education at ISCED 3A level. We prepare pupils for university education. The school program is built on 3 pillars: multiculturalism, foreign languages (we offer English, German with the possibility of obtaining a DSD diploma at B1 level and Spanish) and communication. These pillars are implemented through various school and extra-curricular programmes, such as Erasmus+ projects, the School that Changes the World programme, eTwinning, the charity programme (every December the second year pupils spend a day in the city's social welfare facilities helping the staff with their workload). Our organisation is constantly striving to improve thanks to international projects, teachers attend international training courses in addition to domestic ones.
