Objectives

This mobility project was supposed to provide our students professional practical experience in an international environment during the first years of their studies. In this way, we wanted to enable our students to gain work experience in real working conditions as they are not involved in dual learning. In addition, they were able to establish international relations and had an opportunity to exchange experience and learn working practices in the workplace. Another goal was to enable them to learn the skills that they cannot learn at our school – MIG welding for instance. In addition, the aim was to enable them to acquire competencies, provide them an opportunity to act independently both in social and working life, and acquire new language skills and learn terminology in Hungarian.

Background

Stredná odborná škola (technical secondary school) - Műszaki Szakközépiskola, Bratislavská cesta 10, Komárno, is a legal entity established by the Nitra Self-Governing Region and primarily provides secondary vocational education in Slovak and Hungarian languages. Our organisation has less experience in international projects, so we have expected the project to strengthen and deepen cooperation with our partners. Our partner organisation has a rich experience in implementing various projects and has established partnerships with a few European countries, including Malta and Finland for instance. We have been cooperating with them for 12 years within Erasmus+ - KA1 and they act as a host school helping us implement mobility for our students every year, and they also choose us as the host organization for their projects.
