We primarily focused on improvement of professional education at our school. The key goals of the project were the cooperation with the educational institution Vitalis in Germany in the field of so-called green construction, development of digital competences and business skills. New trends in housing show the importance of smart homes and the provision of reduced energy consumption of buildings, especially in the time of energy crisis, the development of digital skills and broadening of digital competences through the programming and installation of smart homes. As for the internationalization and modernization of the school, it is crucial to participate in international projects on many levels, especially within the framework of school education and vocational training of students. Among other important goals, we set are integrating the school into the network of institutions involved in international projects, the professional and personal development of the school's teachers, and the development of the students' professional, language, and computer skills. Our priority is to educate and raise a generation with knowledge, skills and competences enabling them to succeed in their professional and personal lives.
For more than 35 years, our school has been providing vocational education, ending with a school-leaving exam in the field of construction, for students in the Nitra region, where we belong to the top vocational secondary schools. Our priority is vocational education and training of technical personnel in the field of construction, teaching of graphic information systems and foreign languages. We cooperate with universities (Slovakia, Hungary, Greece and Portugal), construction companies in Slovakia and Hungary, educational and cultural institutions, other schools at home and abroad. We organize teacher and student conferences and dissemination activities, educational projects within Erasmus+ program, exchange stays, professional competitions in Slovakia and abroad, seminars for students with representatives of construction companies - professional days, which provide students and teachers with the latest and most modern knowledge in the field of construction technologies and trends. As part of our professional practice, we cooperate with the companies Hanna s.r.o. in Komárne and Maxnetwork s.r.o. in Veľké Úľany dealing with the design and implementation of intelligent houses. These companies belong to to leaders in this industry.
