By implementing the project, we wanted to enable students to work in a foreign language environment and thus acquire skills in areas that are closely related to the field of business school and to the field of hospitality, to improve the language competence of the students so that they acquire the terminology of their field in English, to develop communication skills in interaction with co-workers, supervisor or guests. At the same time, we wanted them to get to know and familiarize themselves with the culture of Spain.
The location of the school is in the town of Giraltovce in the district of Svidník, which is one of the most poorly developed districts. Students here have rather limited options where they could acquire practical skills within professional practice. We are involved in Erasmus + projects for this very reason. We want to give students experience with the business environment in a foreign-speaking country. We want to develop their knowledge with new skills, enrich them with new experiences, and at the same time develop their language skills. And we know that the best environment for developing language skills is an environment in which a person is forced to communicate in a foreign language. Enrichment with new knowledge can also help students in their further studies, or when choosing a future job.
