Objectives

By implementing the project, we wanted to contribute to the introduction of new procedures, increasing the quality and relevance of the training of adults working in the field of assisted intervention with AAI animals and work on the so-called Care Farms. The creation of a functional partnership between 3x organizations (SR, CR, PL) under the management of experts from Norway, brings this know-how about AAI and Care Farm to Slovakia and gradually improves the areas in which we operate. By exchanging know-how between partners, create an online information platform for people, which will inform about the so-called Care farms, to help workers introduce new methods into their work and to improve the overall quality of the provision of these services. By continuing to supplement the content and in the long term, it will contribute to a higher quality of services, which will mainly contribute to improving the health (mental, physical) of the recipients themselves (the primary target group of the project partners) and their families, as well as higher employment in the green sector. By using the created Handbook and other outputs, we wanted to contribute to the implementation of methods in practice.

Background

Demand for the so-called Care farms, which are a very popular and successful concept as on agricultural farms to take advantage of opportunities for developing the necessary skills and increasing knowledge, are still growing in the European market. Also demand for trained therapists, educators, social workers who support services with animals for the benefit of people. These are workers who include animals in their work to make their own practice more efficient. Needs: To increase the level of quality of education in this sector, to establish minimum standards for the performance of work. Thereby solving the problem of potential employers with the verification of candidates, who often employ unqualified persons. Also contribute to the safety and well-being of patients, people with disabilities and other client groups who use this type of service to receive quality interventions that support their needs. For the project, we decided to inform about the opportunities and possibilities of adult education in the fields of work that use these solutions (supporting people with animals, on farms), to support green competences in the developing green sector, as well as to gain our own experience with the Erasmus+ program.
