Background

In the 21st-century technology world, it was inevitable for schools and teachers to be open to innovations. Innovative methods that meet today's world expectations and requirements, as well as the needs of children to be engaged in an inspiring environment, enable them to learn and succeed. Our partner schools revealed the weaknesses and strengths of their institutions by conducting SWOT analyses in their own schools. Based on the results, our project was created with the goal of raising highly qualified individuals for the future. It was focused on making more pleasant and enjoyable the learning of Maths and Sciences. Science and maths contribute to developing students' logical-deductive minds and planning skills (competencies), among the main competencies in active citizenship. Moreover, sciences and maths helped abstraction processes from "doing" to "thinking" so enabling all students, including students with special needs, to be integrated in the activities. To extend students´ communicative, social, and problem-solving skills on an international level, including environmental awareness and sustainable approach in all actions of all participants.
