Objectives

Re-think! was a project contributing mainly to the “Environment and fight against climate change” priority of the Erasmus+, to the green strategic policies and agendas of the European Union and the member states. With its activities and objectives it managed to target the youth of seven countries: Hungary, Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia, Portugal, The Republic of Macedonia, and the Netherlands. The planning, preparation, implementation and follow-up focused on the following objectives: O1: To Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse, Recover material consumption in daily life through sharing good practices among young people and partner organizations; O2: To share knowledge about what is practicable in materials management in partners' countries through research and practice; O3: To create a community of “green” conscientious young people working on sustainable resources for the implementation of joint activities; O4: To gain and improve competences on “green skills” through creative workshops made by the participants; O5: To create awareness about Millennium Goals 2020 (Ensure Environmental Sustainability) and join forces in cleaning campaigns in their communities. The process of reaching these objectives was scalable: raising awareness about consumerism among the youth, questioning the sustainability of their daily practices, looking for greener alternatives, installing this pattern of thinking into their mind, supporting the transformation of think-to-act, improving their skills and behavior and encouraging them to become “green activists” in their local communities, thereby spreading the effect of the project more widely.
