The partnership wanted to implement this hybrid training in order to tackle the current issues of populism and chauvinism that have been gaining momentum since the 2010’s all around Europe and the world. It had a long-term perspective: by strengthening the competences of youth workers and youth educators in peace education, young people will get empowered to become pro-active agents of peaceful change resisting these threats. Thus, the objectives of the project were: -To qualify new peace educators in planning, delivering and evaluating educational programmes on peace education for young people -To create new educational materials and activities for peace education programmes for young people -To trigger transnational partnerships on peace education among youth organisations Training for Peace was an initiative of 8 countries supporting the spread of European values among the youth, namely solidarity, social inclusion, human rights, critical thinking and active participation. Its main aim was to prevent the radicalisation of the future generation and leaders through equipping the youth workers with the necessary tools and methods of peace education.
