With the project, we wanted to achieve: 1. set and solve common needs in youth education in the rapidly growing development of digitalization through a youth survey in 4 countries of the project partners, 2. to build the capacities of organizations in the field of transnational cooperation by increasing the competencies and skills of educators and youth workers of individual partner projects, 3. to increase the knowledge of the youth workers of the project partners about the growing importance of critical thinking among young people and gaining better resistance to the online marketing of disinformation groups for children from a lack of opportunities, 4. create new educational methodological material for young people focused on improving etiquette on the Internet, improving the level of critical thinking of young people, improving their digital competencies and skills in detecting misinformation and hoaxes, preventing racism and violence in the online world, etc. with sensitive regard for youth with a lack of opportunities, which will be accessible in all languages of the partner countries 5. test new educational material at schools in 4 partner countries.
We decided on a project with international participation based on the ever-increasing demands of educators from primary schools, secondary schools, and universities to improve education in the digital competencies of children and youth online to eliminate the spread of hoaxes, misinformation, or radicalization and violence. We met organizations that also operate in more remote regions of cities and towns in 4 countries, where we perceived the need to improve the level of critical thinking of young people, and thus wanted to improve their digital competencies and skills, as the consumption of fake content has the potential to increase the polarization of young people and radicalization. Through the cooperative nature of the Erasmus+ initiative, we wanted to use the shared knowledge and best practices of other partners to address the evolving needs of the digital society, develop the skills and competencies of all involved organizations through training, support inclusive youth education through the new educational methodological material "Turn on the brain", which would be attractive for children and youth with its activities, as well as helpful for educators and youth workers in all 4 partner countries involved.
