Our aim is to have our teachers receive a European-level education; We wanted to achieve the following objectives by examining the practices in Europe regarding training, orientation, guidance and standards for adult ISNs: 1. Bringing the European vision education perspective to our institution 2. Realization of the innovative educational approach of the transfer of good practices in Europe 3. Understanding the general purpose of special education in the European dimension and adopting its basic principles 4. Knowing and guiding ISNs' types of disabilities, their educational and psychological needs at adult level 5. Learning classroom management, education methods and strategies in adult ISN education at European standards 6. Supporting the career adjustment of adult ISNs, 7. Strengthening the leadership and entrepreneurial role of teachers 8. Developing European citizenship identity by strengthening intercultural communication.
Our institution is a non-formal education institution responsible for providing vocational-social-cultural education to every age group in the society with the principle of "education everywhere, everyone, all the time", which continues to serve under the Ministry of National Education. As a result of the survey we conducted with our teachers before making our project application, it was determined that 62% of our teachers did not have information about the education and needs of adult special needs individuals (ISN), and 73% of them saw themselves as inadequate in terms of education methods and techniques for ISNs. In line with the goals of lifelong learning (LLL), we thought that the staff at Public Education Center (PEC) needed to be trained so that they could provide services for adult ISNs in order to achieve our strategic goals of providing an equal and accessible education environment for everyone, everywhere, increasing the quality of personnel through international mobility projects, and for this purpose. We decided to write a project. We worked together with willing teachers and the project management team and wrote our project and made our application.
