By implementing this project, we wanted to realize our goals that we included in our institution's internationalization strategy. These targets are; Accommodation and Travel Services graduate students do international internships in the field of Front Office Services, develop their digital skills for Front Office Services gains, and increase our graduates' communication skills in a foreign language in multicultural tourism sector environments. With the realized project, we aimed to contribute to the participation of our graduates as qualified personnel who respond to the needs of the tourism sector with the international documents they have acquired. We wanted to facilitate the employment of our beneficiaries in their fields with the digital professional skills and foreign language skills they acquired during their internship. At the same time, we aimed to increase the social skills of our beneficiaries, such as communication with different cultures, cooperation, flexibility and harmony, during the internship period spent in a tourism business in Europe.
Akçakoca Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School is an official institution that provides formal and non-formal education in the field of Tourism-Hotel Management under the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education. In our school, 4-year vocational training is given in the fields of Food and Beverage Services and Accommodation-Travel Services. Students receive skills training in accordance with the relevant provisions of the MEB Secondary Education Institutions Regulation in a business operating in the branch they are studying. Providing international internship opportunities to our students is one of our institution's internationalization strategic goals. With this project, 5 students who graduated from the field of Accommodation and Travel were provided with long-term internship activities where they developed their digital, professional and foreign language skills for front office departments at different hotels.
