Galatasaray University (GSU) has been successfully carrying out Erasmus+ mobility projects since 2003. Founded as the result of a desire for scientific cooperation sealed by an agreement between the Turkish and French governments, GSU has chosen as its mission the creation of a teaching environment supporting international cooperation. The excellence sought by GSU in all areas of teaching and research must be sustained, in this competitive environment, by the development of mobility of individuals and internationalization. Participation to the Erasmus Program and adherence to the principles of the Erasmus Charter greatly contribute to the achievement of these objectives by encouraging the development of new quality cooperation agreements with Program and partner countries, by allowing the establishment of inclusive and sustainable structures and mechanisms, particularly in terms of recognition of learning outcomes, modernization and visibility of the multilingual education offer, and by implementing effective monitoring methods which lead to lasting and diffuse results. Erasmus+ mobility projects as the present one thus fully find their place in GSU's internationalization strategy.
