Objectives

Overall, the DigiAct4GE youth project aimed to enhance the skills and competencies of its participants in creating powerful digital content that addresses specific environmental needs. By leveraging digital channels, the project sought to increase public awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable ways of life among youth and local communities. The project included a mobility event in Ankara, which took place between 18-28 July 2022 and was attended by 31 participants including 7 group leaders. During this event, participants improved their skills and learned how to create effective environmental social media campaigns. The mobility event successfully raised awareness of environmental issues and helped participants gain a better understanding of the European Green Deal strategies. In addition to this, the project aimed to improve the partners' digital capacity in environmental protection and gain a better understanding of the European Green Deal 2019-2024 strategies. To achieve these objectives, the project conducted a thorough needs analysis and research with young students to determine the specific goals. The project's specific objectives included improving participants' digital content creation skills, increasing their understanding of how everyone can contribute to environmental protection, and empowering communities to live more sustainably. The project also aimed to increase awareness about environmental issues and the use of digital campaigns to create a greater impact. Finally, the project aimed to improve participants' basic digital skills. The project objectives were examined through three themes, including Environmental Crises, Creating Digital Campaigns, and Learning European Green Deal. Through these themes, the project aimed to have a significant positive impact on environmental awareness and promote more sustainable lifestyles among young people.
