Objectives

All identified objectives of the project were met. Our YE was successful with strong involvement of participants in all stages with an equal involvement of all partners. As Pursaklar Municipality, we runned a youth exchange project for the first time. We wanted to develop our project in line with the directives we received from our Turkish National Agency for supporting new starters. With the project, a new atmosphere has been came to both our district and our municipality. In this project, which were be the beginning of international collaborations, it was a very important benchmark for us to introduce our Municipality and our city. At the same time, realizing this project in order to offer opportunities to the young people of our city is one of our greatest sources of motivation. This project was a cultural interaction where young people will come together to learn about coffee cultures. We named our project "Kahve Bahane Dostluk Şahane - Coffee Excuse Friendship Wonderful" from here. With globalization, the debates on pluralism, multiculturalism and coexistence are becoming widespread. Although differences between people are seen as a natural and even inevitable reality, many Eastern and Western people say that the coexistence of different languages, religions, races and cultures is the biggest problem of the modern world. It is possible to encounter discussions in every field, from state authorities to universities, from columns to films. The aim and objectives of this YE went together to learn Coffe Culture with 9 different countries. They gained some skills to learn cook coffee and coffe culture with non-formal and formal education techniques. These skills include positive interaction, cultural awareness, racial and ethnic tolerance with the help of audio-visual media. Furthermore, we aimed at improving learning, social and civic engagement and sense of initiative, as well as promoting participation in the democratic life in Europe, including active citizenship and intercultural and interreligious dialogue, promoting diversity; solidarity and inclusion, critical thinking and creating a sense of initiative among young people. We considered creating connections between participants through self/peer assessment and critical reflection, as we work on coffee culture on the YE whilst empowering teamwork and developing professional competencies.
