With the project, we focused on issues related to migration and its effects, which are among the most pressing and current problems of the wide European geography. We tried to contribute to the social and cultural adaptation problems and solution suggestions of asylum seeker and refugee youth in the European society. On the basis of social cohesion, we focused on the problems of asylum seekers and refugees in understanding European communities and cultures, being able to analyze them and being socially involved. Other problems we identified included the problems of local communities in Europe accepting asylum seekers and refugees, and rising racism and prejudice. Therefore, we turned to the need for social inclusion, adaptation and understanding of different cultures and systems for refugee and immigrant youth. We focused on how asylum seeker and refugee youth can more easily access social, cultural and economic support programs and relevant local systems through civil society. Our research showed that these target groups, distributed over a wide geography in Europe, needed more effective, realistic and attractive programs that could involve them in the local society. We saw that these programs should be structured in accordance with their cultural, sociological and psychological characteristics. According to the research and studies we have carried out, the adaptation problems of immigrant groups and the acceptance of local communities can be solved with long-term social and cultural programs that include local communities. We think that the adaptation programs to be implemented will be more effective not only with the official studies of the relevant governments, but also with the programs and studies to be implemented by the local civil society in coordination with them. By preparing such a mechanism proposal, we aimed to provide quantitative and qualitative changes in social, cultural, educational and economic aspects on both groups. We aimed to increase the skills, competence and awareness of both groups in accordance with the needs of harmony and coexistence. We have seen that by involving young people, we can achieve long-term goals and get more effective results by improving the capabilities of local civil organizations and their actors. We have also developed suggestions to ensure that the project and its results are accessible and attractive to both groups and to have an impact on the decision makers who direct migration policies. In accordance with the general aims and priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme, our main project objectives were as follows; 1. Increasing the adaptation of refugee, asylumseeker an dimmigrant youth to the communities in which they live socially and culturally. 2. Increasing the competencies and expertise of youth organizations and employees working with these groups, 3. Reducing the prejudices of local communities towards these groups and increasing the fight against racism and discrimination, 4. Including the cultural diversity and values of asylum-seekers / refugees and migrants in the European communities as an asset.
