By implementing the project;we wanted to ensure that teacher groups collaborate and share their experience and expertise in the field of environment,to transfer good practices,to research how schools operate at the European level and to apply them, to encourage the development of innovative methods,new technologies and new strategies on environmental education,to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation at the EU level to contribute to the development of the environmental education system,to increase students' awareness of natural resources at the EU level for sustainable environmental and living conditions,and to ensure that our students and all our stakeholders focus on environmental issues at the EU level. In addition,with this project,our teachers and students were introduced to European cultural history and school systems, providing them with the opportunity to expand their cultural horizons and evaluate their cultural richness.This enabled our students to develop awareness of protecting natural resources and the environment,to increase their concentration.Both in school life and after school, they learned to use new materials, tools and natural resources and had the opportunity to use them in their new experiences.
Our aim with this project was to raise students' awareness in various areas such as protecting natural resources,recycling,climate change and its importance;to raise awareness about ecological problems;to focus on environmental problem areas in European countries.Besides these, the aim was to develop students' spirit of eco-entrepreneurship,to enable them to gain new skills in sustainable living and protecting natural resources,to arouse their interest in the environment,to shape their attitudes and behaviors,and to develop EU citizenship awareness.Working with our EU partners’ teachers in environmental awareness studies;we would have opportunity to examine the methods that the partner institutions were successful in raising this awareness,and to integrate them into all partners schools’ cultures and to spread it to other schoolsAnd, the students would learn through the use of different and innovative teaching methods by the teachers. Our needs we address were;to establish a balance between natural resources and environmental protection,to enable students’ to think critically and independently about ecological and environmental problems,to strengthen environmental awareness,responsibility and EU citizenship motivation.
